Allegedly Records - This is a Train Wreck

This is a Train Wreck is a melodic skate-punk group based in San Fernando Valley, CA. Starting as an acoustic project of founding member Paul Carone in 2015, the project has evolved to three additional members, Johnny Schwinn on Bass, and TeeJay Impliazzo on Drums, and has maintained a steady release of music and concerts in California and beyond. After three successful cross country tours and many hours in the studio, the group released their debut studio EP, The Change Up, featuring the enduring single “Oh Captain, WHY CAPTAIN?!” made with friend of the band, Yotam Ben Horin, on April 20th, 2022 to local acclaim. Their sound is distinguished by their soaring multi-part harmonies and varied take on punk rock and skate punk, and they are known for their highly energetic live shows. Their songs often revolve around social issues, mental health, and grief, delivered through infectious melodies and sweeping choruses. The subject of mental health is an important issue to the group, who regularly advocates for the national suicide hotline through songs such as “Call 9-8-8” and the suicide hotline long form number being written on one of the guitars on stage.
